Our greenhouses are located in two buildings and are divided into several plant growth compartments (chambers). The plant growth chambers enable maintaining controlled growing conditions of temperature and humidity. Due to versatile construction, the chambers may be used for growing of various plant species. Most of our greenhouses are equipped with LED lights, but there are 2 chambers with HPS (high-pressure sodium) lamps. Key features: • Lighting: adjustable in intensity (from 0 % to 100 %) • Temperature: maximum +40 °C; minimum +15 °C • Relative humidity adjustable from 40 % to 80 % • Maximum PAR up to 250 µmol(photon).m-2.s-1 

Plant Sciences Core Facility is an open CEITEC laboratory providing access to the research infrastructure for basic plant growth, environmental simulation and phenotyping analyses. The core facility operates 15 fully controlled walk-in growth chambers (phytotrons) and 10 greenhouses to provide defined environment for controlled plant growing. It serves as a focal point for broad-based cutting-edge biological research.
