State-of-the-art 3D scanning system.
Part of research platform:
3dMDbody System allows to scan physical objects completely (field of view of the 360° camera) with an accuracy of 0.2 mm. The 3dMDbody system can be used to scan people as well as other objects. The system works on the basis of a series of coupled multi-image heads recording 2D image using projections of random patterns of structured white light. The full scan process in the highest resolution takes only 1.5 ms. Using specialized software, the system generates a three-dimensional image of the tested object in the form of one point cloud or a ready 3D model with a colorful texture.
